The JWB Foundation Donates Fitness Equipment to John Hopkins Children Center

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Service at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with a variety of emotional and behavioral problems including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, severe disruptive behavior, and suicide attempts. While in the hospital, children and adolescents have little opportunity for physical exercise.

The John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation’s generous donation of a bike and treadmill offers Johns Hopkins Children’s Center patients a positive way to manage stress while teaching them how exercise contributes to their mental health and healing.

“Children and adolescents with many forms of psychiatric illness may spend a week to many months here with little opportunity for physical exercise. The bike and treadmill Lynne and Victor donated offers our patients a new and positive way to manage stress, while teaching them how exercise contributes to their mental health and healing. It’s truly been a blessing.”
