A former shock trauma nurse, Lynne Brick is an international health and fitness presenter, consultant and author. She’s been featured in over a dozen exercise videos. She’s also the co-owner of Brick Bodies and Planet Fitness Growth Partners, LLC health clubs as well as the co-founder of the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation. Lynne will present Cardio Boost to energize your mind, body and spirit!
Dr. Yasmene Mumby began her yoga and meditation practice eleven years ago while teaching middle school Social Studies in Baltimore City Public Schools. She was looking for a natural way to calm her rushing anxiety and restore her energy. She has completed over 800 hours of training in vinyasa, meditation, yin, and prenatal yoga. Off the mat, Yasmene is an essayist, organizer, and audiodocumentarian. Elephant Journal recently published her incisive essay, Amplify Black Voices: Yoga, you can do better. She is the creator of the NPR hosted audiodocumentary, Higher Purpose, about an organization that supports people with legal system records to gain livable wage employment in Baltimore. This past May 2020, Yasmene earned her doctorate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
With his joyous and skillful Wisdom Healing Qigong teachings, Master Mingtong Gu brings ancient wisdom to the west for better health and happiness in contemporary times. Trained at the largest qigong hospital in China, where he helped people with major physical and emotional challenges, Master Gu leads retreats and workshops worldwide. Sara Keller is the Group Exercise Director for Brick Bodies. She holds certifications through AFAA/NASM, Les Mills, and Balanced Body and teaches anything from kickboxing to dance to Pilates. She believes that above all movement is key to well being.
Alexa Fong Drubay is a Laughter Yoga Master Trainer and Laughter Ambassador from Media, PA, who learned her craft in India with the founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr. Madan Kataria. Alexa has brought wellness laughter to the blind, to groups in recovery – from cancer survivors to prisoners, where she started a mindfulness and resilience pilot program for female inmates. Nothing connects people of all backgrounds better than laughter.
Regional Fitness Training Support Manager at Planet Fitness and PF Moves Instructor Jeremy Smoot provides 10 minutes of simplistic movements and exercises. These simple exercises will benefit both the body and the mind!
As founder and director of The Center for Transformative Movement in Boulder, Colorado, Lisa fuses her passion for music, dancing and the importance of Connection with both academic research and raising public awareness about the many physical, emotional and transcendent health benefits that naturally come from simply moving our bodies to music that lights us up. Lisa is also a versatile, inspiring public speaker and what really thrills her and gives her the most meaningful satisfaction in her work, is to hear from people exactly how those benefits that are felt deeply on the dance floor, and even more importantly make a meaningful difference in all other areas of a people’s lives – like relationships, career, parenting self-care, and in their overall wellbeing.
Olivia Lubarsky is a former NCAA Division 1 gymnast from Towson University. Through her years of training and competition, Olivia has learned to appreciate movement as the vehicle to optimal growth, resilience, and achievement. She will present an everyday workout, inspired by her background in gymnastics, that highlights the importance of core stability and balance.
Ferly Prado was born in São Paulo, Brazil, where she began dancing and moved to the United States at age 12 to study at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. As a professional dancer, Ferly has had the privilege to work with world renowned artists and companies like Beyoncé, Tina Turner, and Cher; and award shows such as the American Music Awards, the Billboard Awards, the Latin Billboard Awards, the VMAs, and ACMAs.
