Shirley Eichenberger-Archer, the Wellness Sensei, is an integrative health educator, embodied mindfulness expert and wellness visionary. She teaches with clarity and joy from the intersection of her Japanese wisdom lineage and the evidence-based science of her advanced Western education. Shirley’s passion is empowering people to take personal responsibility for creating optimal health through a mindful approach to healthy living.
A best-selling author, award-winning health journalist and award-winning trainer, Shirley inspires, motivates and educates people worldwide through media appearances, live events and her books, articles and blog posts. A prolific and passionate author, she has written more than 1,000 magazine articles and books, including Pilates Fusion: Well-Being for Body, Mind and Spirit, and Fitness 9 to 5: Easy Exercises for the Working Week.
Shirley has more than 30 years of experience in holistic health and wellness program development and has served as a health promotion professional in preventive medicine at Stanford Prevention Research Center at Stanford University School of Medicine for 15 years.
Shirley is a graduate of Stanford University, Harvard University, Georgetown University Law Center and is a former New York City attorney. She believes health is a journey, nature is our teacher, and love is everything.
